  • John Baumann

    7/8 Head Coach & Youth Program Director

    John Baumann has been coaching at Summit since 2018. Previously as coach of Bellevue High School’s boy’s lacrosse team, he amassed more than 220 wins and won six DI State Championships from 2005 to 2017. In 2015, he was the US Lacrosse Washington Head Coach of the Year. Baumann has coached many high school all-Americans and sent multiple players to all collegiate levels of lacrosse: Division I, Division III and MCLA. Baumann played Division I lacrosse for University of Albany. He is from Long Island, NY.

  • Luke Hansen

    HS Varsity Head Coach & Program Director

    Luke Hansen is the Summit High School Boys Varsity Head Coach. He is 4x League Coach of the Year, 2016 State of Oregon Coach of the Year, and has won 100+ varsity lacrosse games at Summit. In his 10+ years at Summit, he has developed the club into the premier Oregon club outside of Portland. Luke is the only coach to take a team to the state Final Four outside of Portland metro which he has done twice in ‘16 & ‘24. Luke has coached numerous players to collegiate levels of lacrosse. Luke played college lacrosse at Pacific Lutheran University outside of Seattle.

  • Dave Schultz

    HS Boys Assistant Coach

    Dave is the 2x League Assistant Coach of the Year. He has been coaching and officiating lacrosse in central Oregon since 2008. Dave became involved in youth lacrosse in central Oregon when his son Sam was in middle school. After coaching Sam throughout his time at Summit High School, Dave has remained on staff at Summit as a varsity defensive coach for 10+ years. Dave played at Willamette University in the late 80’s.

  • Chris Crowder

    HS Boys Assistant Coach

    Chris grew up on the East Coast and first learned the game in his home town of Baltimore, Maryland. Chris graduated from Johns Hopkins in 1982. Chris has played, coached, & refereed at various levels since that time. Chris is very happy to be a part of Central Oregon lacrosse.

  • JC VanDenbrink

    HS Boys Assistant Coach

    Previously as coach of Lake Oswego High School boy’s lacrosse team, he has also previously spent time at St. Ambrose University as their Head Men's and Women's coach and Colorado State University Pueblo as the Defensive Coordinator. Vandenbrink has also spent many years in the club circuit coaching Team Oregon, as well as Whales Lacrosse, and 3D Oregon in previous seasons, Vandenbrink played midfield and attack at Division II Shorter University.

  • James Gilfillan

    HS JV Boys Head Coach

    James just wrapped up his 19th season of lacrosse at Salisbury University where he won the 2023 national championship as a starting defender. James has a fresh perspective on today's game of lacrosse. He has spent nearly five years coaching around the country and is extremely excited to continue to give back to the game that gave him so much. As a coach, James seeks to mentor our JV program into upstanding young men who strive for excellence, and always leave the field with a smile on their face.

  • JP Faherty

    Youth Boys 7/8 Assistant Coach

    JP Faherty was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He attended Jesuit High School, where he was First Team All-State. He then went on to Chapman University to play lacrosse and study business with an emphasis in real estate. However, when a season-ending injury occurred and his studies moved online due to COVID, he decided to take a gap year and relocate to Bend with his family. JP is currently a real estate broker in Bend with The Agency. He is excited to get back into the lacrosse community and is determined and ambitious to help the 7/8 team.

  • Austin Olsen

    Youth Boys 7/8 Assistant Coach

    Austin Olsen was born and raised in Wilsonville Oregon and attended La Salle Prep high school. After high school, he attended the University of Oregon to play lacrosse and study Finance and Marketing. While at the University of Oregon, Austin won 3 conference titles and was 1st-team all-conference Attack his senior year. After graduating, he coached at the University of Oregon as a Graduate Assistant before COVID-19 ended the season. Austin is excited to pass his knowledge along to the younger generation and grow the sport of lacrosse!

  • Dave Haralson

    Youth Boys 5/6 Coach

    Dave comes to Central Oregon from Seattle with 40+ years of lacrosse experience. Highlights include playing, coaching, administration, statewide board involvement, and Club President experience. Dave has served as a Board member/President for US Lacrosse in Washington State for 14 years. Dave's goal is to teach and mentor the kids in a fun, positive environment that helps them contribute to the team and grow personally. Dave played collegiately at Springfield College.
